National Training and Reskilling Scheme (NTRS)


Government has announced the implementation of an Economic Recovery Programme which comprises a package of measures aimed at boosting GDP growth, protecting jobs and creating new ones, reducing dependence on imports and improving the well-being of the population. One of the key components of the Economic Recovery Programme is the implementation of the National Training and Reskilling Scheme (NTRS). The NTRS targets the training and reskilling of some 6,000 unemployed persons. The courses will be of up to 6 months duration. Click on the links below for respective training programmes::

The NTRS is a national programme to provide training to unemployed individuals. Participants would receive a training stipend based on respective training hours. The NTRS is being implemented by the Ministry of Labour, Human Resource Development and Training and the HRDC, in collaboration with stakeholders from both the public and the private sector.
